A design project is a big endeavor and we’ll design the life you want to live. We take your trust seriously, and our structured design process ensures that we’re creating a deep relationship with you, keeping your project on track, meeting expectations (or exceeding them!), and bringing you to your most authentic and vibrant result.

Our design process consists of four milestone meetings. Let’s walk you through them!

Introduction: Where you learn about us.

  • Tour the Studio 38 Designs showroom.
  • Introduce the team.
  • Review with you photos of your remodel area and discuss your project’s purpose.
  • Present our Design Process presentation.
  • Review our Design Agreement with you.
  • If you decide to proceed, you will sign our Design Agreement, and we will complete your Design Schedule Timeline.
  • Discuss Client’s Homework: Complete our Studio 38 Design Survey and your Houzz Ideabook.

Tape and Photo: Where we learn about you.

  • In your home, we will discuss your completed Design Survey and Houzz Ideabook with you.
  • Get familiar with your home and design wish list.
  • Measure and photograph the remodel space and necessary adjacent areas.
  • Client’s Homework: sit back, relax and have fun with the process!
  • Designer’s Homework: continue to review your design inspiration and come up with a few options.

Preliminary Design: Where we present the options.

  • In the showroom, we will present 2-3 design concepts, including space plans, mood boards, materials, finishes, and color schemes.
  • Discuss how we made these selections based on the information that you provided.
  • Solicit feedback- what did you like and dislike?
  • Client’s Homework: get excited, your design is taking shape!
  • Designer’s Homework: refine the design and create construction documents.

Final Signoff: Where we bring your design to life.

  • In the showroom, we will present your final design and materials selections as previously discussed.
  • Receive final approval of the design.
  • Receive final approval of material selections and payment for materials.
  • Review next steps.
  • Provide guidance in the selection of a contractor.
